Unitec School of Architecture - Schools (Australia/NZ)

At Unitec, our mission is to inspire people to discover and apply their intellectual and creative potential and contribute responsibly to their societies and cultures. We educate people for work, we educate people in work, and we ensure that the skills and attributes of our graduates are recognised and respected both nationally and internationally. At Unitec students learn to reason, adapt, innovate, communicate and grow so they can respond to rapid changes in the workforce and society and can return to study - if the desire or the need is there.

The demand for postgraduate and professional development programmes has brought rapid change to Unitec. Although we are committed to maintaining a broad educational profile, more than 55 percent of our enrolments are at degree level and above and we have increasing numbers of postgraduate students.

We respond to the needs of our students by offering flexible and online learning options. Nearly 4,000 students are enrolled in courses supported by online learning, and the Internet is used to develop and submit assignments and encourage feedback on coursework from both students and staff. Providing courses in block-mode at weekends or during school holidays means that we can match the timeframes and schedules of our masters and postgraduate students.

We look forward to the future, to strengthening our partnerships with all our students, with industry, and with the professions and the communities we serve. Unitec will continue to be a place of possibilities.
